Short and Sweet

I am really behind on blogging so here is a quick update of a couple things.

Ryan took Aiden on a Father/Son Campout back in September with our ward. This was Aiden's first official campout with dad. He LOVED it and did awesome. He even fell asleep early and slept all night!
Since Ryan changed jobs back in February he has now been driving my car (better fuel mileage) and I have been driving his truck (horrid fuel mileage) around for errands. We decided with gas prices so high that it would be a good idea to fix my old college car that gets 30 miles per gallon so we wouldn't have to drive the truck anymore. Thank heavens we have awesome friends who shared their time and talents with us to get this old car running again! I love knowing Ryan gets awesome gas mileage going to work and I get my car back! :)

Tuesday

Bedtime Story to Mama

I was in the bathroom with Aiden getting him ready for bed and this is what he told me.

Aiden: mom, what's that?
Mom: that's a shower curtain.
Aiden: oh. mom it's wet mom.
Mom: really? i don't think it's wet baby.
Aiden: uh huh and i fell and got an ouchy.
Mom: you did??
Aiden: ya and then a boat came and went "whoa, whoa, whoa". then bears fell in the water and it was funny. then king car came and JUMPED over the water and it broke it. the car broke mom. it broke. THE END!

I think I was smiling through his whole story as he did arm actions for everything he told me. (There was more he told me but unfortunately I can't remember all of it.) I especially tried not to laugh when he said "the end!" Too cute! I love that he really just made up his own story for me. He is sooooooooooooo much fun! I love this little stinker.

My little Samurai... Yes, 2 swords on his back and 1 in his hand.

Saturday

Pink Stuff!

I have to say preparing for a little girl is so much fun! I love all the cute little dresses and clothes for them and all the pink supplies. My mother-in-law just got me the bedding for the baby's room and it is so cute that I wanted to post a picture. Aiden did a good job modeling it all for you with his toy knives. :)

Tuesday

Florida with Grammy

We spent Labor Day with Ryan's grandma. Aiden absolutely loves her because she gets down on the floor and plays with him and entertains him all day long. I have witnessed that a 73 year old has more energy than most teenagers. She is absolutely amazing! Thank you Grammy!

Fun in Grammy's pool.
Madeira Beach
Fossil Park is still around from when Ryan was close to Aiden's age. This is where Ryan was standing in the pond feeding the fish and an alligator swam up behind him. Luckily for Ryan, his sister started screaming and he was able to jump out of the water. Today, there are no more alligators in the pond thank goodness!
Playtime with Grammy.

LOVE YOU!

Thursday

Birthday

My birthday was this week and to celebrate I took Aiden to the Georgia Aquarium. He still gets in for free and since it was my birthday I did too! I splurged and paid to see the dolphin show and I'm so glad I did because Aiden and I loved watching the dolphins perform.
Ryan got me these beautiful roses and then surprised me with dinner at Macaroni Grill with friends. It was a perfect birthday.
On a random side note: I was putting more water in my rose vase and I glanced up and realized I had seriously been neglecting my permanent house plants. I have posted pictures of these poor creatures because they will most likely be soon departing our house via the trash and they deserve at least to be remembered in pictures. Poor babies, they really never had a chance with me as their owner!!
